FACS vs MACS Which is better?

Closed Credit reward to answer the question: 0 - Question raised on 2010-12-24 17:14
 HI Friends,

I am planning my experiments using CD4+ Human T cells. For which i need to purify them from the lymphocyte fraction isolated by the ficoll method from whole human blood.

What i want to know is which system do i choose.. FACS or MACS?

I want to transfect the purified cells for my experiment which means that a negative selection procedure is more apt for my experiment.

Please give me your suggestions and comments on this.

Kind Regards,

Vinod.
