In vitro micronuclei assay (MN assay)

In vitro micronuclei assay (MN assay)

Micronuclei assay (MN assay) is an in vitro assay to detect the mutagenic chemicals that can induce formation of micronuclei in the cytoplasm of interphase cells by interfering the chromosomes structure and segregation. Micronuclei can also be induced by radiation exposure. In vitro micronuclei assay is commonly used for genotoxicity and genomic damage studies.
