Is there a way of preserving bone marrow cells in a specific buffer for some days, before starting the cell culture? What would the procedure be like?
thanks. Rating: n/a

Respected Sir,
I am a medical graduate and doing research in medical genetics.
I was able to get chromosomes from the peripheral blood . I am using
RPMI 1640 medium. I had tried the same medium for products of conception
and I was able to get only a few cells in the slide but there were no chromosomes. The same was the case with amniotic fluid.
I am adding colcichine for 2 hours to the tissue on the 9 th day.
Please advise me regarding the protocol for tissue culture .
Thanking you in anticipation
