first of all iam sure u must be knowing that tritonX-100 does'nt dissolve in water. After adding water 1to triton X-100 put it in water bath at 30c and allow it 2 dissolve. Then add required amount of urea with a liile amount of water and place on magnetic stirrer..
I ca'nt say if this is a shortcut method though,. But i've been doing this only and mywork is also on 2D

i have just join the lab for my m.sc training in punjab univ. chandigarh. my work is on proteomics . so, i have to perform 2D . I do not the protpcol following in my lab as i am new . but the step in this experiment involves very carefull dissolution of urea in triton and water. this step is very irritrating because after half an hour dissolution a small carelessness can cause formation of thiourea .so v have to perform whole experiment again. is there any short cut method or handling techneque which is helpfull
