G1/S cell synchnronization using double thymidine block
G1/S cell synchnronization using double thymidine block
This protocol is designed to synchronize HeLa cells at the G1/S border (actually all G1). It is highly effect and gives almost complete synchronization in the culture. Note that this protocol will not work on cell lines with intact p53 apoptotic responses. (Science Advisory Board)

Do you have a protocol for synchronising wild-type p53 cells? I'm having difficulty trying to get a pure cell population, have tried shotening the treatment period and it seems to help but I still have 15-20% of the cells in G1 when release from the thymidine block. |

Do you have a reference for double thymidine block not working on p53 wild type -- ie only works on mutant p53? |
